Nexus 5 LG UNVEILS WHITE NEXUS 4, SAYS NO PLANS FOR NEXUS 5

LG unveiled on Tuesday a white version of its blockbuster Nexus 4, while an executive nixed plans for a sequel device.  An LG executive it has no plans to build the Nexus 5, citing Kim Wong, head of LG’s Europe business. An LG representative confirmed the executive comments, but noted that the company wouldn’t rule out another Nexus in the future. PC SHIPMENTS PROJECTED TO CRATER IN 2013, KEEP DECLINING IN 2014

The PC market is in rough shape and new projections from IDC show that we’re probably not even close to hitting bottom yet. According to IDC’s latest numbers, PC shipments will decline by 7.8% in 2013 and will continue to fall by another 1.2% in 2014. The firm sees a slower decline in 2014 mostly because companies that still use Windows XP will likely upgrade to Windows 8 machines once Microsoft stops supporting the older operating system next year.  Read the full article…

Spotify SPOTIFY LAUNCHES “DISCOVER” FEATURE FOR ITS WEB APP

Spotify has launched Discover, a news feed that allows users to see recommendations, songs and playlists based on their favorite music. The feature, which was first rolled out last month in a limited release, is currently available on Spotify’s new Web client and will eventually be launched in the music-streaming platform’s desktop and mobile apps. Read the full article...
